Dementia Care
At Milton Court Care Centre we are committed to providing the highest quality EMI nursing and residential care. Our home has been carefully designed to ensure that the environment is comfortable and not confusing for our residents who suffer from dementia. We have eliminated long corridors and have created a range of different styles of bedrooms, lounges and dining rooms so that each area is distinct from the other. This will aid recognition of the resident's own bedroom and foster a sense of home.
We have ensured that our EMI floors are decorated to the highest standard and firmly believe that a bright and homely environment with the best quality furnishings and decorations aids the emotional wellbeing of those residents who suffer dementia.
Our EMI units will be staffed by qualified Registered Mental Nurses and Care Assistants who have the right disposition for what can be a very difficult job. We have found that a familiar, smiling face can make all the difference in the world.
We will cater for various forms of dementia such as Multi-Infarct, Vascular Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, Pick's Disease and early-onset Dementia.
